About us
The Turntable Record Shop was started by Steven & Anna Schnetler in May 1969.
The Shop was initially situated at 26 Rose Street, Central in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. The Shop was later required to move, and in April 1970 moved into Velroy House, 63 Campbell Street, Central in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. The Turntable Record Shop closed it’s doors in July 1979.
As from October 2022, a decision was made to continue trading and grow the business. The Turntable Record Shop is still a family-owned business, and is run and cared for by Cordell & Joshua Schnetler.
To our parents & grandparents, thank you for introducing and nurturing our love of music. The passion grows everyday.
